Showing up to the place that so many people find strength, safety, comfort, inspiration, encouragement, family is a blessing! I am grateful for you!

It’s important to me, to make sure you feel seen, supported and valued.

 I genuinely enjoy greeting each of you as you show up for your workouts with intention! 


You each have different reasons for showing up,

I see you; I’m cheering for you!  


Showing up for yourself, especially on the hard days; working hard, pushing through the challenges, using your workouts to build yourself up; you are strong! If it was easy everyone would do it, but it’s not always easy, yet you are proving you can do hard things!  So when life gets tough, as it will sometimes, you will move through the adversities one step at time: know you can do hard things!


If you haven’t been showing up,

I’m inviting you to get back on the wagon, get back in and start showing up.


It's never too late!

I’m not talking completely overhaul your life, because we all know that never lasts, I’m talking about an easy entry.

Maybe you start off like one of our members who simply worked to face her fear of walking into the facility; together we strategized and decided 1x per week, get in and walk 10min, no more, no less; then we reflect, celebrate and work on the next steps; week by week she increased, two days, then 12min…

It works, you will start to feel better! 



Too often people start off with great intentions,

but honestly we are creatures of habit, and if it isn’t something you have been accustomed to for years, chances are you will fall off the wagon.


I know it’s intimidating to start something new, to show up to a group where you are the newbie, to be the beginner

but at DF you are supported, you are encouraged from Day 1. 


 

TRUE STORY.... THIS TEAM IS INCREDIBLE... if you haven't taken advantage, get involved!

I started in 2003, providing one on one training… but we quickly began to grow, and more than 20years later, we are a strong team, TeamDF! 


The reason we are still here is because of the community!!!

DF started by showing compassion, empathy and support to just one person, and that was the spark, from there that same energy has been continually passed on....


This team creates the energy, this team provides the support,

this team keep us growing, we are a support system, we are a positive, healthy community!  Who do you surround yourself with?


When I was feeling like an empty shell, stuck, expired, lost and unwell, it was my team, who pulled me though. They didn't know it, I kept showing up for them and doing my thing, and they kept showing up for each other, that energy is powerful... that energy provides light in a dark place. 


 

Going at it alone is risky! When you try telling yourself you can do it, you can implement new healthier habits, consistently, on your own, it’s a big risk, maybe you can, but most people end up quitting, trust me!


BUT...

  • when you are accountable to a group, you are more likely to show up even on the days when it seems like you don’t have time. 


  • when you workout with other people, you will do more than you imagine possible for you bc while others are busy doing their workout, it WILL inspire, challenge you, motivate you, to step out of your comfort zone and try too! 


  • when you start doings things that you didn't know were possible for you, and you will, you begin to believe in your possibilities at a deeper level, and instead of moving with the fear of failing in the back of your mind...

    • you begin to move with confidence, knowing that you can do this thing, because you are proving to yourself through action that you can. 


SO...

Instead of signing up on your own, with no plan, no support system, just a strong desire to 'fix yo self,' instead of attempting go through the motions, starting out strong and ending in defeat because nothing takes root in your belief system...


Consider a group!

What I’ve learned...

even when we think we have nothing to give, or have no vision for our future, when we feel expired, empty, discouraged...if we show up with what we have and who we are,

we can receive the light and energy of others, which is what helps us to move forward!


even more, I’ve learned

when you feel like you aren’t making a difference because your light feels like a mere flicker, that flicker actually is a glow to someone else, providing strength, hope and support to keep putting one foot in front of the other. 


This lightbulb moment, encouraged me to offer more "opportunities for communities,"

so other people can feel seen, heard and valued, supported, encouraged and inspired to keep moving another day, and another...  You Radiate a Special Light, Shine!


There are so many ways to accomplish an end result, are you open to a new perspective, or fixed on "Your way?"
