CONFIDENCE! Family! Perseverance! Goals!
The common themes I saw today when receiving responses from my student athletes after asking them why they Crosstrain? More importantly, I wanted to know why they keep coming back!
As a trainer, I'm working on developing their total sports performance by improving their cardiovascular, muscular and overall fitness! I thought for sure they would say, "well I'm stronger, faster, more powerful: I'm able to perform better at the skills of my sport!"
The answers I received were so much better than that! I got goosebumps....CROSSTRAIN BUILDS CHARACTER!!! They are not only building confidence in themselves, they are willing and able to step outside their comfort zones and take on new challenges! Achievement based on their own hardwork allows them to believe they can accomplish great things through hardwork, dedication, and persistence not only in their workouts, but in life! They are courageous and understand that through these uncomfortable challenges in and out of the gym, great things will shine through. It's not easy, but in the end, the feeling of great accomplishment keeps them continually setting new goals and reaching new potentials!
Each person is striving to become the best version of themselves! Their supportive team, the family they have built, work together, supporting one another, this is their lifestyle!
I can see now, Crosstrain, clearly provides much more than merely being stronger, faster, and more powerful as I thought they would say!

I've put up a few of the text responses I received today... As part of a group conversation we had...
From a College student who has been with DF since grade school ...
"Crosstrain makes me believe and stand by the motto that "Impossible is Nothing"... Its not just a workout a few times a week-it becomes a mindset in everyday life.. Always more to work for-to strive for.. Makes us feel Powerful! One Kick-butt DF Family.. It's addicting! "
The next one, from a 14year old boy!
"Hey Kerri, I've been thinking about your question and my answer is that this gym isn't just a place, it's a life style. When I go to the gym, I feel healthy. In return, I continue to eat healthy. I feel stronger and faster after each class. The place is full of inspiring people and they keep me coming back day after day. We are like a family. In crosstrain, we could cut out a few reps and cheat but the people around me keep me going. That's my answer" (jake Martinez)
I like the next one bc it talks of setting goals and striving to achieve them!
"Upped my confidence, made me shoot for goals to hit in the off season, and you can see and feel the progress your making. It makes me feel awesome looking back at hard workouts and saying to myself I did that and it makes me take on hard workouts now with a different mindset. I keep coming back because I want to keep progressing and the gym's atmosphere is like no other. 👍"
"While you're working out you forget that it's hard. It's super fun and you feel like you've accomplished something after a crosstrain workout. It got me in the best shape of my life and really helped me strive and do well in all other activities! Plus I love it more than any other workout!"
"Strong
Confident
Happy
Pushed to the limits
It's the only environment I actually work my hardest
I keep coming back
It's fun
Cool to see other people reach their goals"
"I think crosstrain is more demanding mentally than it is physically. Crosstrain requires patience and persistence to not quit when the exercise or movement
"I go to cross training because it's a good way to vary training and do something different, it's tiring and challenging, but the rest of the class pushes you to be better and finish, also being in a class where it's typically the same people helps you develops friendships from people you may not meet otherwise and then once you create those friendships it will keep you coming back to spend time with those people and those people will then hold you help in holding you accountable to come, the workouts aren't typically what the everyday person would go to the gym and do, it's fun, interactive and high energy
I like cross training because it allows you to test your limits and you can work at your own pace, if you aren't very good a specific exercise you do what you can but then build week by week
And if you want to be able to do pull ups go to cross training "
That's why Crosstrain!
I love this DF culture!
